As you can see this township was dominated by the Eldredges, Schmidt, and Yocum families at this time, they owned a great deal of land in Galva Township. 

The Township was established app. 1871. 

Schools were located in Sections 1, 4,6,17,26,27, and 30 throughout time.   

Cemeteries are located in Sections 14 (1900), 26 (in 1885) and 29 (1879).
