Frances Tauke, 75

Funeral services for Frances Tauke of Dyersville were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28 at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Rev. Michael Tauke officiated with Msgr. James Barta, Rev. Ed Petty, Rev. Dennis Juhl and Rev. James Secora concelebrating. Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery. Placing the pall were Rev. Michael Tauke, William, Mary Ann, Marian, Jennifer and Tamara Tauke. Other priests attending were Rev. James Dubert, Rev. Philip Thompson, Rev. Henry Charipar, Rev. Dwayne Thoman, Rev. Jerry Blake, Rev. Donald Plamondon, Msgr. Albert Mantemach, Rev. Carl Mantemach, Rev. John Kre-mer, Rev. Patrick Geary, Rev. Herbert Tegeler, Rev. John Ptacek, and Msgr. John McClean. Pall bearers were: JoAnn Schraad, Sharon Kramer, Rita Steffensmeier, Aggie Kramer, John Schilling and Jerry Tauke. Kramer Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Frances, 75, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at Mercy Hospital in Dyersville;

Frances J. Tauke was born September 25, 1924 in Petersburg, the daughter of of William and Frances (Rolfes) Hoefer.

On October 29, 1946 she married Leonard B. Tauke in Garnavillo.

Survivors include two sons: Rev. Michael L. Tauke of Waverly and William of Dyersville; one daughter: Mary Ann Tauke of Dyersville; two granddaughters; and three sisters: Wilhelmina Hoefer of Gamavillo, Anna Mae Tauke of Luxemburg and Shirley Connor of Farmersburg.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband Leonard on September 12, 1991; one son, John in infancy ; one sister: Bernice Schilling; and one brother: Bill.
