Dick Dale Teteak, 64

MARCO ISLAND, FL -Dick Dale Teteak, 64, passed away on Thursday, April 6 in Marco Island, FL.

Private family services are planned. A celebration of Dick's life will be held at Tallard Station, 8152 Forsythia Street, Middleton, WI 53562, on Thursday, April 13 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Dick Dale Teteak was born on Dec. 30, 1936 in Oconto County, WI. He was raised in Oshkosh, WI and graduated from high school in 1954. He then attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a starting center for the Wisconsin Badger football team, playing in tne Hula Bowl and the East-West Shrine Game. He had also earned a degree in Agriculture.

Upon graduation he signed a pro-contract with the San 'iego Chargers and went on to play professional football for the Green Bay Packers, Canadian football at Montreal and the New England Patriots.

After his professional football career, Dick was football head coach for Beloit College while earning a master's degree in Physical Education, rom there he became an assistant football coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under head coach John Jardine. He held this position for eight years; Dick worked in sales for Industrial Paper and Packaging, retiring in 1992.

Dick married Lisa Nicolaisen in 1990. Dick enjoyed both of his homes in Marco Island, FL and Madison, WI. He enjoyed his hobbies of shooting trap, golfing, fishing and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa; one daughter, Melissa; one son, Myles (Ginger); two grandsons, Gage and Gavin; two sisters, Jo Marshal and Phyllis Berndt; one brother, Deral Teteak; one brother-in-law, John Nicolaisen, New Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Aritha and Myles Teteak.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in Dick's name to the American Heart Association, 2850 Dairy Drive, Suite 300, Madison, WI 53718-6751.
