Neva D. Strempke, 92

SUMNER - Neva D. Strempke, 92, Sumner, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000 at Hillcrest Home in Sumner after a short illness.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sumner.

Burial is in Littleton Cemetery, Littleton.

Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Hintz-Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein and an hour before services at the church on Thursday.

 Neva was born Sept., 1, 1908 in Fairbank, the daughter of Leandar and Ida (Kuhrke) Minton. She was a homemaker and nanny, helping raise the families of others. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sumner.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Lee Strempke, Westgate; seven grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Ethel Kunkle, Fayette; a sister-in-law, Laurel Minton, Oelwein; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were a son, Roland (Red) Strempke; ! her parents; a brother, Lee Minton; a sister, Nina Minton in infancy;, a brother-in-law, Bud Kunkle.

A memorial fund has been established.
