Judy Ann Knight, 51

CHARLES CITY - Judy Ann Knight, 51, Charles City, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the Mercy Health Center of North Iowa, East Campus, Mason City, from complications following heart surgery.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Charles City. Rev. William N. Kelly, Pastor of the Maple Heights Assembly of God Church, Charles City, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at the Fullerton age Funeral Home, Charles City. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Judy Ann Ash was born Feb. 24, 1948 in West Union, the daughter of Walter Charles and Helen (Sophia) Ash. She graduated from West Union High School. Judy then studied legal secretary courses at Hamilton Business College in Mason City. On Oct. 26, 1974, she was united in marriage with Richard Clark "Dick" Knight at the First Christian Church in Charles City. Since the late 1970s, Judy was the insurance secretary at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Judy was a stalwart cancer survivor, having defeated Hodgkin's disease and breast cancer. She enjoyed shopping and her collection of crystal.

Surviving are her husband, Richard "Dick , Charles City; three daughters and husbands, Shannon and Brad Drewelow, Heather and Kevin Tolliver, all of New Hampton, Angela Knight, Charles City; seven grandchildren; her parents, Walter and Helen Ash, Charles City; a brother and his wife, Wally and Julie Ash, Charles City; two sisters and their husbands, Marlys and Jim Gerleman, Charles City, Marsha and Ron Frye, Batesville, AR.
