Juletta Evelyn Lewison-Overson, 89

A celebration of life service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2000, at LeRoy Lutheran Church for Juletta Evelyn Lewison-Overson, 89, former LeRoy resident who died Thursday evening in her home at Adams.

The Rev. Tom Kolden was in charge of the service. Interment was in the church cemetery at LeRoy.

She was born Jan. 26, 1911 in Adams Township of Mower County, daughter of Lewis and Betsy (Gordon) Lewison. She attended and graduated from Adams High School and Oct. 1, 1932 was united in marriage to Clifford "Red" Iverson at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams.

They farmed in Lodi Township, Mower County, from 1942 to 1976. At that time they retired and moved into LeRoy, where they lived until 1996. They then moved to their apartment in Adams.

She was a member of the LeRoy Lutheran Church where she was. active in the church circle and was also a member of the Lodi women's dub. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Survivors include a son, Kermit and Joan Iverson, Albert Lea; two daughters, Barbara (Donald) Jackel, Austin, and Jean Winjum of Wellsburg, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in August of 1996; a grandson; three brothers; four sisters; a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home, LeRoy, was in charge of arrangements.
