Clarence Hackenmiller, 78

Clarence J. (C.J.) Hackenmiller, 78, of Yakima, Wash., passed away of cancer on Monday, March 13, 2000 at Yakima Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hackenmiller was born May 26, 1921, in Stacyville, Iowa to Andrew and Anna (Merten) Hackenmiller.

C.J. was raised and educated in Meyer, Iowa. He served in the U.S. on Jane 13, 1943 in Camp Van Dorn, Miss. C.J. worked for Interstate Power for five years until he moved to Yakima in 1983.

C.J. enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid Seattle Mariners fan. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Angela of Yakima; his children and their spouse, Ron and Julie Hackenmiller of Fond du Lac, Wise., Wayne and Karen Hackenmiller of Salem, Oreg., Kathy and Jack Jackson of Damascus, Oreg., Tom and Kathie Hackenmiller of Chelan, Wash., Jo Cook of Yakima, Sue and Wayne Flaten of Richland, Wash., Dick and Cindy Hackenmiller of Bend, Oreg., Mike and Terry Hackenmiller of Chelan, Wash., Mary and Brad Kime of Edmonds, Wash., Judy and Eric Edwards of Yakima and Brenda and Joe Brusic of Yakima; 35 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Gary Hackenmiller, one sister and two brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund c/o Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
