Glenn E. Gabrielson, 87

ALGONA - Glenn E. Gabrielson, 87, Algona, died Tuesday, Sept 26, 2000 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at the First Congregational Church in Algona with Rev. Dennis Secrease officiating.

Burial was m East Lawn Cemetery in Algona with Mark and Kevin Murphy, Gerald Janssen, Joe Liclkteig, Todd Gabrielson and Dick Lickteig as casket bearers.

Visitation was from 4-8 Thursday, Sept. 28 with Mason Rights at 7 p.m. provided by the Prudence Lodge #205 at the Harris Funeral Home in Algona.

Glenn Eddy Gabrielson, the son of Martin C. and Florence (Eddy) Gabrielson, was born June 27,1913 in Ellsworth. After graduation from Ellsworth High chool, he began farming. On Dec. 28, 1939, Glenn was united in marriage with V. Corrinne Laymon in Macon, MO. The couple lived and farmed near Ellsworth and later moved to the "Via-The-Way" farm in Sexton. Glenn was a member of the First Congregational Church of Algona, a past master of the Masons, The White Shrine, the Shriners, Order of Eastern Star and was very active in many community organizations throughout his life.

Surviving are his children, Kenyon (Kathy) Gabrielson, Algona, Glennda (Walter) Murphy, New Hampton, Joyce (Steve) Ryan, Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; sisters, Florence Murray Zimmerline, Greenfield; Gaynell Clark, Ames, Dorothy Anderson, Starbuck, MN; a brother, Gerald Gabrielson, Forest Lake, MN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Corrinne in March of 1998; one granddaughter, Azur Gabrielson; two brothers, Donald and John Gabrielson.
