Pauline M. Burrichter, 84

LOST NATION - Pauline M. Burrichter, 84, Lost Nation, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 22,2000 at Genesis East Medical Center at Davenport following a short illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Union Presbyterian Church in Lost Nation with Rev. Paul Skelley officiating.

Burial was in the Smith town Cemetery, Lost Nation, with William Burrichter,Ben Hoffmann, Mark and Tim

Wilson, Darren and Todd Burrichter as casket bearers.

Honorary casket bearers were Lyle Scnepers and Russell Busch._

Visitation was Friday, Nov. 24 at the Hayden Funeral Home in Lost Nation and at the church on Saturday prior to services.

Pauline was born Oct. 7, 1916 at Marion, the daughter of William and Marie Louise (Sieben) Busch. She started her education in the Marion schools and graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1934. She attended Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, receiving her teaching certificate. Pauline taught in tne rural schools for several years and on Oct. 1,1939 she married Paul Burrichter at her parent's family farm. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Smithtown until the spring of 1962, at which time they moved into Lost Nation. Pauline was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and the afternoon circle; a member of both the Guys and Dolls and the Homemaker's Chubs, all of Lost Nation.

Surviving are her chldren Marie (Delbert) Hoffman and Ruth (Harold) Wilson, both of DeWitt, Margaret Burrichter, Cedarville, OH, Dorothy Burrichter, Carlisle, David (Linda) Burrichter, Columbia, PA, Donald (Linda) Burrichter, Shellsburg, and Allan (Linda) Burrichter, New Hampton; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Anita (Harold) Schepers, Maquoketa, Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul in February 1991; her parents; one brother.
