There are five lodges in Alden as follows: Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Ancient Order of United Workmen, and the Knights of Pythias and Grand army of the Republic.
Radiant Lodge No 366 A.F. & A.M. was organized under dispensation Dec. 11, 1875, and now has a membership of 32.
Alden Lodge No. 356 I.O.O.F. was organized Septemer 28, 1876 and now has a membership of 20.
Alden Lodge No. 163 A.O.U.W. was organized April 23, 1878 and now has a membership of 86.
Dirigo Lodge No. 231 Knights of Pythias was instituted May 16, 1889 and now has a membership of 46.
Fairbanks Post No. 436 G.A.R. was organized July 9, 1887 and now has a membership of 32.
