1. NOTE: Check all variations of name spellings as there is an extreme variation of the spellings. I suspect the information may have been collected in person as land parcels are shown with lanes leading to residences and church, school sites and flowing wells are also identified. These items normally would not be found on the official plat maps in the Auditor’s office.
   
   
2. There can be more than one entry for each land owner. Additional information on land owners and tenants was taken from the Patrons’ Reference Directory in the 1918 Plat Book.
   
   
3. Many renters (tenants) paid to have a listing in the Patrons’ Reference Directory. Their residence was also noted on the township plat map.
   
   
4. Kendall Young Library has two copies of the 1918 Plat Book, one of which has been separated out and laminated for protection and ease of copying in its full size.
