Letters Home

Apr. 27, 1918

Just a line to let you know we are well or at best I think Herb is alright.  Haven’t seen him for 2 days & am going over there this afternoon to get acquainted with the Chaplain and his wife.  Think I will get a job there with them soon or at least I hope we get it.  I am to do the housework.   I worked yesterday.  Could have had a job there for a while but they wanted me to stay nights and it’s a mile and a half in the country and I came out here to see Herb and he could not go out that far so I just helped them yesterday.

Fine weather.  Emma
