       Wounded on May 27th and died in the hospital on the same date. Buried in Baccarat Cemetery, Grave No. 69. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shaw, Dubuque, Iowa. Private Shaw saw some service on the border and was with Company A in the trenches and was with Company A in the trenches up to the time he was gassed. He was exceedingly well liked for his ready wit and good humor.

      Died of gas received on May 27th. Buried in Baccarat Cemetery, Grave No. 73. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Salsbury, Patterson, Iowa.        Private Salsbury was a member of Company A in 1916 and saw border service with that company.  He was transferred to fill the ranks of the 168th, when that regiment was formed. He was a good man in the lines.  Born February 23, 1894.
