        Killed at Foret de Fere near Chateau Thierry, July 26, 1918. Buried in Grave No. 6-I, Map of Conde-en-brie. Son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Taylor, Amazonia, Missouri. Private Taylor was an original Company E man. He served throughout the Lorraine Campaign and the Battle of Champagne.

        Killed July 26, 1918 at Chateau Thierry. Buried in Grave No. 8-B, Map of Conde-en-brie. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Reed, Lingle, Wyoming. Corporal Reed was assigned to Company kE in April 1918, and led his squad until he was killed by an enemy machine gun bullet. Corporal Reed was known as a fine soldier and a willing worker, as well as a good comrade. Born in Springfield, Missouri, September 2, 1893.
