        Killed July 26, 1918 at Chateau Thierry. Buried in Grave No. 8-B, Map of Conde-en-brie. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Reed, Lingle, Wyoming. Corporal Reed was assigned to Company kE in April 1918, and led his squad until he was killed by an enemy machine gun bullet. Corporal Reed was known as a fine soldier and a willing worker, as well as a good comrade. Born in Springfield, Missouri, September 2, 1893.
