     Relative's address: Mrs. Eva Tipton, Neola, Iowa.

     Private Kidder was born at Elmo, Missouri, October 1, 1895.

     He went overseas with the 168th Infantry, did his duty well in the

Lorraine battle and while we were in the great Champagne defense he was seriously wounded while sleeping in the pup tents. The boys were called to the trenches and when they reported Charley was missing.

     They found him wounded and sent him to the hospital at Chalons, where he died on the 16th of July.
