The Legion Field of Honor |

| Like a great sentinel
stands the steel flagstaff in the Legion Field of Honor in Graceland Park
Cemetery. The staff was erected and presented to Monahan Post by the
Society of Plumbing and Heating Engineers of Sioux City. The entire space
on which this staff stands was given to Monahan Post by the Graceland Park
Cemetery Association to provide a burial space for ex-servicemen and women
of Sioux City who in the future, pass away and are entitled by the
provisions of the gift to be buried within its borders. Space for 144
graves are provided by this gift. |
