     Died of pneumonia in the Hericourt Hospital in France.

     Buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, November 20, 1921.

     Son of Mr. and Mrs. Britten Galland, Salix, Iowa.

Ernest Abijah Galland

Corp. 84th Co. 6th Reg. U. S. M. C.

      Killed in action in the Meuse-Argonne offensive.

      He was decorated with the French Fourragere and received five batlle citations during engagements in the Aisne, Aisne-Marne, Marne, St. Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne offensives.

      Buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, November 20, 1921.
