William Stukas

     Wounded in action at Soissons and died in Hospital No. 27, at Tours, France.

     Two citations were awarded Pvt. Stukas for bravery in action, and for meritorious service. These citations were ordered by Generals Pershing and Summerall.

     Buried in October, 1920, at Laurel, Nebraska.

     Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stukas, Laurel, Nebraska.

   
   
   
   

Earl Edward Nelson

Sgt. Co. H, 168th Infantry

 

  

      Instantly killed when a machine gun bullet pierced his heart while taking the Guilseie farm near the Argonne Forest.

      Buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, October 10, 1921.
