Wounded in action at Soissons and died in Hospital No. 27,
at Tours, France.
Two citations were awarded Pvt. Stukas for bravery in
action, and for meritorious service. These citations were
ordered by Generals Pershing and Summerall.
Buried in October, 1920, at Laurel, Nebraska.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stukas, Laurel, Nebraska.
