     Instantly killed by shrapnel near Hill No. 70.

     Buried in Plot No. 3, Row M, Grave 16, Maroc, British Cemetrey.

     Lieut. Lane was a Sioux City boy who moved with his parents to Canada shortly before the beginning of the World War.

      Died of pneumonia in a Base Hospital in France.

      Buried in the National Cemetery at Arlington.
