In tribute to the
service of our men and women in the time of the World War, the
mural work pictured here was placed on the east wall of the Court
House rotunda. On the right the spirit of the high endeavor of
the soldiers, on the left sacrifice and the love of the mother,
the sister, the nurse. On a gold background are emblazoned in
vivid blue the names of the great battles in which our men had
part. On the seventh floor of the
tower above this rotunda is the present home of Edward H. Monahan
post of the American Legion. |
