       This is to Certify, That   Harry J. Kingsland  (3224299)     Recruit 163rd Depot Brigade attached Co. C. 313 Engrs. is Hereby DISCHARGED from the military service of the UNITED STATES by reason of Physical Deficiency as per Form #2 Hy 88th Div. dated June 10-1918 giving as reason for discharge Hyperthyriodism Irritable Heart Pulse  114-108-132-120. B. P. 125-85 Existed Prior to enlistment Reject Group "D".    

      

      Said  Harry J. Kingsland  (3224299)  was inducted into the service from the jurisdiction of the Local Board of Clayton County, Elkader, Iowa Serial No. 1075 on the 27th day of May, 1918.

       

    While this certificate discharges the person named herein from his present obligation to serve in the Army, it does not operate as a permanent bar to his subsequent entrance into the military service. Under Section 5 of the Act of May 18, 1917, all registered persons remain subject to the draft unless exempted or excused as in that Act provided. Therefore, this discharge does not exempt the holder from obedience to the process of Exemption Boards.

                              Given at Camp Dodge, Iowa, this 27th day of June 1918.
