Towle Cemetery
aka - East Mayne's Grove, Reeve twp. or Jones cemetery
Section 23, Reeve Township, Franklin County, IA

Referred to as the Mayne's Grove cemetery in the 1883 Franklin co. history, it was the first cemetery in Reeve twp. The wife of Dr. L.H. Arlidge died early in July 1854, "...and was buried in the cemetery on the hill west of J.S. Jones', being the first person buried there..."
This cemetery should not be confused with Mayne's Grove cemetery, which is a few miles to the southwest in Section 31.

To reach Towle cemetery from Hampton, travel south on Hwy 65, turn east on 110th St. (C-47), then turn south on Quail going about 1/4 mi. The cemetery is in a field east of Quail. Be aware that there may not be a sign marking the road into the cemetery.
