CLUB WOMEN TO MEET AT ELGIN SATURDAY
The Fayette county convention of Federated
Women's clubs will be held at Elgin, Saturday, April 9, and two
Elgin clubs will be hostesses. The convention will be held in the
Methodist church.
Speakers will include Mrs. Carl Reed, Cresco,
first vice-president; Mrs. William Larabee Jr., Iowa City, past
state president; Mrs. David Lennox Jr., Marshalltown, second
vice-president; Mrs. C. A. Knutson, Clear Lake, fourth district
director; Mrs. T. A. King and Mrs. O. W. Heiserman, West Union.
Miss Edna Hunsberger will give the greeting,
and Mrs. Karl Fox of Fayette will give the response.
The program includes, besides addresses by
those mentioned, a number of musical selections, both vocal and
instrumental.
Miss Beulah Blunt, West Union, is to give an
exhibition of bells which she has collected.
