IT WAS NOT OUR JOSEPH PETERS

The court news two weeks ago contained an item about the dismissal of a case of larceny against Joseph Peters. No address was given and a few in this section thought that it might have been Joseph [Patterson] Peters of near Elgin.

This doesn’t happen to be the case as our Joseph is an honest, law abiding young man who makes his living by laboring and we are very sorry that the least thought of suspicion should have been associated with him.

The Joseph Peters in this case was from the south part of the county from near Oelwein. It would be better if the address was given in all court matters.
