Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Link, 2344 White street, announce the engagement and approaching marriage
of their daughter, Marian Jeanette to Sgt. Francis Brosius, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brosius.
145 E. 17th street. The wedding will take place Aug. 16 at the Sacred heart church. Which is
in Dubuque, Iowa.

Link-Brosius Wedding Held at Sacred Heart Church

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Link, 2344 White street, announce the marriage of their daughter, Marian
Jeanette, to Sgt. Francis P. Brosius, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brosius, 145 E. 17th street. The wedding took place Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart church.

 

The Rev. J. Fred Kriebs officiated at the mass and the double ring ceremony. Professor J. J. Dreher, organist, prayed the nuptial music and accompanied Miss Rose Marie Whelan, who  sang "Ave Maria" and "Panis Angellcus".
 

The bride wore a gown of white bridal satin and ninon. fashioned with a long court train and a fingertip-length veil of silk illusion and Chantilly lace which fell from a tiara, of white gardenias. Her bridal bouquet was made up of white gladioli and lilies of the valley, centered with a cluster of pink roses.
 

Miss Rita Link and Miss Lucille Specht attended the bride in identical Grecial styled gowns of pink and blue chiffon. Both carried colonial bouquets and wore matching tiaras of flowers in their hair. Alfred Brosius attended his brother as best man.
 

Following the ceremony a dinner was served at Leiser's gardens for the immediate families and in the afternoon a reception for 125 quests was held at the home of the bride's parents. The couple left later in the day for a wedding trip to Chicago.
 

Mrs. Brosius was graduated from the Immaculate Conception academy and Sgt. Brosius is a graduated of Senior High school and Bayless Business college. He recently returned to the States after 16 months service in the ETO.
