Bruckner, Charles Morris Age 26. Residence Sioux City, nativity Germany. Enlisted as a Private on September 25, 1861. Enlisted in the Iowa Sioux City Cavalry Company November 16, 1861. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out on June 22, 1866 at Sioux City, Iowa. Died [he is on the list of "Headstones Provided for Deceased Union Civil War Veterans, 1879-1903 with 1894 as date of providing headstone] at Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa, buried Floyd Cemetery. In 1898 a pension was filed in Iowa for widow Johanna Kupper and a minor child Helen Mallen.

Burgess, Walter. Age 20. Residence Sioux City, nativity New York. Enlisted as a Private on September, 25, 1861. Enlisted in the Iowa Sioux City Cavalry Company November 15, 1861. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out on June, 22 1866 at Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. Died July 20, 1921 at Onawa, Monona County, Iowa and is buried in Onawa City Cemetery.

Cain, James. Age 23. Residence Sioux City, nativity Illinois. Enlisted as a Private in the Iowa Sioux City Cavalry Company on April 14, 1863 [note: obituary indicates he enlisted in 1861]. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out on April 16, 1866 at Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa. Died in 1914 at Blaine, Whatcom County, Washington and is buried in the Blaine Cemetery.

Cain, Ruel. Age 22. Residence Sioux City, nativity Illinois. Enlisted as a Private in the Sioux City Cavalry on April 9, 1863 [probably 1861]. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. On March 5, 1866 one Civil War record has him deserting and one has him mustering out.

Casady (Cassady), Samuel H. Age 30. Residence Sioux City, nativity Indiana. Enlisted September 25, 1861 as First Sergeant. Enlisted in Sioux City Iowa Cavalry November 14, 1861. Promoted to Second Lieutenant November 15, 1862. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out of Company I, 7th Cavalry on November 23, 1864; term of service expiration. Died December 24, 1873 at Council Bluffs, Pottawatamie County, Iowa and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Council Bluffs, Pottawatamie County, Iowa

Collins, Thomas Michael Age 24. Residence Smithland, Iowa nativity Ireland. Enlisted September 25, 1861. Enlisted in the Iowa Sioux City Cavalry on November 14, 1861. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out on November 23, 1864. He and his wife Catherine McDermott were married 5 May 1865 and they had five children. Died January 3, 1923 at Oto, Woodbury County, Iowa. He is burried in St Patrick's cemetery in Danbury, Iowa.

Coplan, Jacob T. Age 28. Residence Sioux City, nativity Pennsylvania. Enlisted as Second Lieutenant on 28 September 1861, Commissioned Second Lieutenant on 14 November 1861 with Sioux City Cavalry, Promoted to Full First Lieutenant on 15 November 1862, transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry on 15 July 1863. Mustered out on 23 November 1864. Filed for pension as an invalid 12 January 1891 in Kansas. His wife Elizabeth filed for his pension in California in May 1908 as a widow.
Born January 1833 as the son of William Coplan of Pennsylvania.

Died of disease Company I, 7th Cavalry Regiment Iowa on 23 Apr 1864 at Des Moines, IA. Buried at Osbourne (Osborn) Cemetery, Monroe County, Iowa.

Crosby, Norton B. Age 20. Residence Spirit Lake, nativity New York. Enlisted September 25, 1861. Mustered November 14, 1861. Died May 20, 1863 at Spirit Lake, Dickinson County, Iowa. Listed in the Roll of Honor, Volume XVIII. Buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Dickinson County.

Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. On February 2, 1887 a pension was filed from the state of Nebraska. Died March 24, 1920 at Brushton, Franklin County, Massachusetts. He is buried at Plainview Cemetery, Leverett, Franklin County, Massachusetts.

Died April 9, 1930 at Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon. He is buried in the Hillsboro Pioneer Cemetery where there is a family monument.

Dutton, Horace. One report says enlisted in Sioux City Cavalry and mustered out September 26, 1861, and another report says enlisted as a Private in Sioux City Cavalry and rejected by Mustering Officer September 26, 1861. There were two other Iowa Horace Duttons serving during the Civil War in other Iowa Companies. Without the age and residence at time of enlistment, it is difficult to research.

Died May 10, 1927 at Jefferson, Union County, South Dakota. He is buried at Elk Point Cemetery, Elk Point, Union County, South Dakota.

Edwards, William. Age 24. Residence Sioux City, nativity Missouri. Enlisted September 27, 1861. Mustered November 14, 1861. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Transferred to Company I, Seventh Cavalry, July 14, 1863. Mustered out on November 23, 1864 at Sioux City, Iowa.
