*** Dave Miller, who took the above picture, was in the area in August 2012. He indicates the actual location of the cemetery site is one mile west and one mile south of the location shown in the above map which would mean in the vicinity of the intersection of 210th Street and 290th Avenue. He indicated the family owning the property in 2012 has owned it for many many years, that they are aware there are at least two burials, but they have never seen any stones. To date [July 2013], it is unknown if there are any graves as there are no headstones and no known recordings of either burials or burial relocations to other sites.

*** From the limited documentation available, this cemetery is named Richland Township and Mount Chapel. It appears that Mount Chapel was not only a Methodist Church but possibly a community. The location of the church grounds is about three and one-half miles north of Terril; at the Southeast Corner of 200th Street (County Road A31) and 300th Avenue. The physical description is: Northeast Corner of Section 32, Township 99, Range 35 (Richland Township).

*** The USGS classifies this cemetery as a Historical Cemetery. They title this as Richland. One Richland township map shows a cemetery at 300th Avenue and 210th Street. There are many references in history documents and obituaries to this as Mount Chapel. It appears that the church building was erected in the late 1890s and that the church merged with the Superior Congregation around the mid-1910s.
