Johnson Family Cemetery has been designated a Pioneer Cemetery by the Des Moines County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.

Located in Flint River Township, Johnson Family Cemetery is found in the northeast corner of section 33. It is about 3/4 of a mile from the Hwy 406 & Hwy 34 Junction.

There are only two graves remaining in this cemetery outside of the fence surrounding the IAAP. The fate of the burials inside the fence is unclear. This spot was originally the land of Will F. Johnson and was a family cemetery.
