MRS. LAURA E. ASHBURN has through her attorney, Geo. W. Baker, commenced an action for divorce in the district court against her husband, WILLIAM T. ASHBURN. The parties live in Bloomington Township and were married at Tuskeego on Sept. l9, l90l, living together until June 2, l902. She alleges her husband has treated her in a cruel manner, refusing to come to see her when she was taken sick with lung fever while nursing her mother at Tuskeego, although she repeatedly sent for him and he was only four and a half miles away. That he has threatened to kill her and at one time packed his valise and said he intended to leave her. The plaintiff has no property, but her husband has 85 cattle, 4 horses, l2 hogs, wagons and other property, the value which is about $3,500. She asks for a decree of divorce, that she be restored to her maiden name, LAURA E. PIERCY and that she have $300 temporary and $l,l00 permanent alimony.
