B.F. VENN through his attorney V.R. McGinnis, has commenced an action for divorce from his wife, MARY ELLEN VENN. They were married in Leon in August, l889, and lived together until April l4, l900. The plaintiff alleges his wife has been guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment toward him in the recent past as to endanger his life. He asks for a decree of divorce and the care and custody of their two minor children, LAURA E., aged six years and BEULAH CHRISTIAN, aged two years, and for an accounting of their property. Last Monday, MR. VENN filed an information before the insane commissioners charging his wife with being insane, but they decided she was sane and ordered her discharged. He then commenced the suit for divorce.

Another Column of the same date:

MRS. MARY ELLEN VENN, of Bloomington Township, was brought before the insane commissioners Monday, her husband, B.F. VENN, having filed an information before the insane commission charging her with being insane. The commissioners made a careful investigation and decided that MRS. VENN was not insane and ordered her discharged.

I was unable to find the divorce article, however, I did find a re-marriage to one another:
