From Leon Reporter:

The trial of Charles PUGH who was arrested for selling liquor contrary to law, which was set for last Friday before Justice J. L. HARVEY, was postponed for one week, and that of his brother "Buck" PUGH who was also charged with the same offense which was set for trial before Justice HARVEY on Monday was also continued for one week. S. B. JOHNSON who was arrested at the same time on a similar charge and released on his own bond of $200 for appearance in Justice Harvey's court Monday for trail, did not let any grass grow under his feet, and left town the same night he was arrested, being accompanied by his brother Henry. He sold his household goods, and it is said that when the cellar of the house was cleaned out after he there was nearly two wagon loads of empty beer and whiskey bottles found. His bond was declared forfeited when the case was called Monday and the official will prove up a case against him next Saturday.
