| The Second Grand River Alumni Dinner was called to order at 12:45 by
Richard Schwable, president. A prayer of thanks was offered by Mrs. Margaret Pennock Schnoover and a bountiful table of food was enjoyed by all. At 2:00 the group was called together for a brief meeting. Alumni Books were given to the older alumni in attendance, the recipients were: Warren Day, 1900 -- Homer Griffin, 1903 -- Ray Morrell, 1905. The roll call of each class was taken and were recognized as a group, as well as all teachers in attendance. The minutes of the last meeting and financial report was read and approved. A vote was made whether to hold our dinner every five, three or annually, and the date desired. The vote carried to keep the same date and to hold the dinner annually. The nominating committee gave their report for the new officers with Mrs. Merna (Overholtzer) McDowell as president and Mrs. Janice (Beardsley) Daily as secretary and treasurer. As there was no further business the motion was made and seconded to adjourn. The afternoon was spent visiting and with the various groups having their pictures taken. |
