HAMILTON ITEMS:

MR. ARRON MAXWELL has bought the old Henderson farm.

Hamilton Township has now three men, FOX, MILLER and CORNETT, but on one thousand dollars each to answer the charge of theft at the next term of court.

MR. ACTON is no better, and MR. HALL is helpless with rheumatism.

MR. G.E. GRAHAM had a dinner for his son and his bride on Monday. The boys had a charivari that night.

REV. SAMPSON preached at the South Church at Pleasanton last Sunday.

The bridge men went to work on Monday, the first this year.

MR. and MRS. LAMPARS of Ringgold County, and MISS LAMPARS of Decatur City, are visiting their son and brother.

MR. WELLS has moved his saw mill from Scott's place to his home.

ELLA STUTIVILLE is canvassing for a history of the Philippine War.

MR. SEYMOUR who lives in the borders of Missouri is very sick. Dr. Wheeler is the attending physician.

DIED: -- May 2nd, l899 at his residence at the State line, ELSIE LAMPARS. He was a young man of great promise and has left many friends to mourn his loss. Funeral at Creveling Cemetery near Lamoni on Wednesday.

MRS. HENDERSON of Pleasanton is very sick.
