CLARENCE MCHARNESS, who was engaged in cutting wood for RALPH SHELTON on a farm near Decatur, met with a bad accident, Tuesday when he struck his right instep with the axe cutting a deep gash. He was brought to Leon to have a physician dress the wound, and will have a pretty sore foot for some time.

H.L. POUSH, of Pleasanton, was a business visitor in Leon last Friday. For the past year MR. SEYMOUR, who has been Assistant Manager of the store.

HENRY FORD last week bought the big auto factory making the Lincoln cars, paying $8,000,000 cash for the plant, and when his bid was accepted, he wrote his check for the full amount. The first thing he did after securing the plant was to make a big reduction in the price of Lincoln autos. The Estes Motor Co. have been appointed agents for the Lincoln at Leon.

MISS MABEL MCCLUNG and MISS AGNES BURNS returned from St. Joe, Mo., the first of the week where they were called by the serious illnes of MRS. ROBERT BURNS, a former resident of Garden Grove. JAMES BURNS, one of the sons lives in St. Joe but FRANK lives in Dakota and could not come, smallpox being prevalent there and he was unable to get his stock taken care of, and then too they had just had a big snow up there, the snow being drifted about the house so FRANK had to get out an upstairs window one morning.
