J.R. BOWSHER, in the name of himself and MRS. BOWSHER, who is in Los Angeles, gave their farewell receptions at their home, "LINGER LONGER," in this city, which has for years been one of the most hospitable homes in Leon, and which goes under the auctioneer's hammer next Saturday. On Thursday and Saturday evenings, at which times more than a hundred guests were entertained in J.R.'s hospitable manner, with music, cards and dancing, and several amusing contests, refreshments being served both evenings to the large gathering. A number of out of town guests were in attendance Saturday evening, including Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Vogt, Dr. and Mrs. R.F. Throckmorton, Dr. and Mrs. O.W. King, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dayton, Mr. Ed Rathenburg and Miss Jessica Pryor, of Des Moines, Dr. and Mrs. D.R. Dudley, of Mt. Ayr, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilson, of Trenton, Mo. Cards were given each guest to write their greetings to MRS. BOWSHER. The BOWSHERS will be sorely missed, for no one ever visited their home who did not have an enjoyable time.
