U.W. Wells, the Mitchell, S.D. land agent, assisted by F.R. OWENS, of this city, who recently purchased quite a tract of Dakota land, took quite a party of prospective land buyers to Mitchell on Tuesday afternoon. In the party were F.R. OWENS, SHERMAN RUMLEY, R.E. DYE and FRANK GOODSON, of Leon; VERN KIER, A.J. WELLS, JOHN BENTON and MRS. J.K. BEASLEY, of Decatur; BERT MCELROY and ARTHUR GRENAWALT, of Lamoni; MRS. M.E. FORBES and son, CYRUS, and FRANK SULLIVAN, of Clearfield; and A.F. STULTZ, of Beaconsfield.

On Tuesday, August l9th, Mr. Wells expects to take a special car from Leon to Dakota, and on this occasion there will be special low rates for the round trip. South Dakota is enjoying a great boom in farm lands and those who are buying now expect to reap the benefit of rapid advance in the price of land. If you are interested in getting in on the ground floor of a good investment, see Mr. Wells in regard to this excursion. He will be back to this county next week and be ready to give full information.
