At the home of MRS. GEO. O. JOHNSON on Tuesday of last week, was one of the most pleasant days of the year. Quite a number of the good old Grand mas had been invited to take dinner with MRS. JOHNSON, and be sure and bring their pipes and enjoy the day. So on Tuesday morning, there they came -- Grand ma ACTON, EWING, POST, THOMPSON, LESTER, PATTERSON and GRIMES. All seemed glad to get out and enjoy one old fashioned visit, with work baskets, pipes and tobacco, and talk and laugh and smoke until dinner was announced. Then all repaired to the dining room where a bountiful dinner was awaiting them. After Grand ma ACTON had returned thanks, all seemed to enjoy the good things MRS. JOHNSON had prepared for the occasion. After dinner all returned to the sitting room, and while MRS. JOHNSON played, all joined in singing some good old fashioned songs which we all enjoyed, thus making it a pleasant and profitable day.

After wishing MRS. JOHNSON many pleasant days like the one spent, the good old grand mas put on their bonnets as the sun was going down and departed to their homes. May God bless them and make their last days their happiest days.
