Polling Places

These were the polling places in 1896, 1897 and 1898.  Then they had judges and clerks to oversee everything.

The the following shall be the polling places in said city for said election, to-wit:

First ward, First Precinct -- At the Court house on Block Eight north addition to Clinton.
First ward, Second Precinct -- at the German Hall, corner of Third avenue and Fourth street.
Second ward -- At the City Hall on Second street.
Third ward -- At the hose house on the east side of Fourth street, between Eighth and Ninth avenues.
Fourth ward, First Precinct -- At the Fourth street Fire Department.
Fourth ward, Second Precinct -- At the hose house on the corner of Sixth street and Stockholm avenue.
Fifth ward -- At the old town hall on Liberty street.
Sixth ward, First Precinct -- At the hose house on the corner of Randolph and Sixth street.
Sixth ward, Second Precinct -- At the old city hall (Lyons).
Seventh ward, First Precinct -- At the hose house No. 3, on Sixth avenue.
Seventh ward, Second Precinct -- At the hose house on Main street.

That said polls shall be opened at 8 o'clock a. m. and remain open until 6 o'clock p. m., unless otherwise ordered by the board in charge of said election.

1896

That the following named persons are hereby appointed judges and clerks of said election in their respective wards, to-wit:
