Dan Harding plead guilty and was sentenced to the reformatory at Anamosa for six months. Yesterday Harding was again before the court and plead guilty in another indictment for larceny and was given five years at Anamosa, in addition to his former sentence.
John Richmond plead guilty to his indictment and was given thirty days in jail and a fine of $50.
Ben and Wesley Atchison plead guilty and were sentenced to jail for 30 days and to pay costs of prosecution.
Eugene Fosha, who broke into A. J. Wirkler's clothing store at Monona, waived all rights and plead guilty, Sentence was reserved to last day of term.
James McCarthy and Daniel Condon, held for vagrancy, were given a lecture in which the Judge told them that tramps that came to this county for a winter's sojourn would, if brought before him, also gain a summer's residence in Hotel Dittmer (the county jail). They were released under promise to leave the state.
The case of the State vs. Henry Farmer, under indictment for arson, has commenced and will continue thru the week.

The trial of Henry Farmer on an indictment for arson, was concluded Saturday forenoon and the jury brought in a verdict of guilty after being out only about 15 minutes. It is said they were unanimous upon the first ballot. This indictment was for burning the barn of Maurice Lamphier in Cox Creek township. Another indictment is pending him for setting fire to the house. Farmer was sentenced to the penitentiary at Fort Madison for ten years, and the clerk was ordered to hold sufficient of his cash bail to pay the costs of prosecution.
Eugene Fosha, who plead guilty to two indictments, one for breaking and entering Wirkler's store at Monona, and the other for larceny, was sentenced for ten years at Anamosa for the first and for five years on the second indictment.
Carl Bowker, who plead guilty to larceny from a freight car, was sentenced to the reformatory at Anamosa for five years.

Thirty days in the county jail was the sentence imposed by Justice W. H. Scholz upon J. Wilms for having furnished a can of amber fluid to a person whose name is down on the modern black list.

In the cause of the State vs Frank Utter, for larceny. Defendant plead guilty and was sentenced to Fort Madison penitentiary for five years.

State vs. Tom Broderick, Fred Barr and Frank Glauber. Indicted for resisting an officer. Barr and Glauber plead guilty and were sentenced to the county jail for sixty days. Case against Tom Broderick dismissed.
