Louis Meyer is a native of Prussia, Germany, born in 1834. He came to Clayton County in 1854, and in 1862 purchased his present farm of 220 acres, lying partly in Farmerburg and partly in Garnavillo Townships. He has made many excellent improvements on his land, and in 1870 erected a fine brick residence. It is one of the most beautiful locations in the townships.
