Thomas Gunderson

Thomas Gunderson was born in Norway, July 15, 1838. He embarked for America June 25, 1868, and landed at Quebec. From there he came to Iowa, and located in Fayette County, where he resided seven years, and then settled on his present farm in Marion Township, this county. He owns eighty acres of well- improved land, and is extensively engaged in farming and stock raising. His marriage occurred in 1862 to Bertha Jameson, who was born in Norway, July 24, 1837. The fruit by this union is five children - Martha, born Sept. 24, 1862; James, Nov. 10, 1863; Gunder, Oct. 5, 1865; Gilbert, Oct. 3, 1867, and Trene Matilda, April 26, 1871. In religious sentiment Mr. Gunderson is a Lutheran. Politically he is a Republican.
