George Friedlein Sr

George Friedlein, Sr., is a native of Germany, born in February, 1831. He left the land of his birth for America in 1852, landed at New Orleans, and from there went to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he resided seven years, then came to Calyton County. He settled on his present farm of 240 acres on section 8, Millville Township, which he now has under good cultivation, and has made many excellent improvements on his land. He was married in 1857 to Margaret Grush, and their union has been blessed with five children-- Adam, born in 1862; Charles, in 1863; Henry, in 1865; Louis, in 1873, and Caroline, in 1868. In politics, Mr. Friedlein affiliates with the Republican party, and is classed with the prominent and influential citizens of Millville Township.
