Benjamin Davis was born in Scranton County, Pa., on July 1, 1857, and was a son of John H. Davis. In 1845 Mr. Davis left his home in Pennsylvania and came West, locating in Clayton County. He purchased a farm on section 36, Cass Township which he still owns and resides upon. His farm is under excellent cultivation and contains many valuable improvements.
