Thomas Anderson was born in Norway, Sept. 21, 1850. In 1854 his parents emigrated to the United States, settling first in Rock Prairie, Wis. The following spring they removed to Clayton County, and purchased eighty acres on section 30, Wagner Township. Our subject was educated in the district schools, and worked on his father's farm until he was nineteen years old, when he bought the farm from his father, which had been increased to 200 acres. He was married Feb. 8, 1874, to Liza Johnson, born in Clayton County. They have three children - Andrew, Ingre and Maria. Mr. Anderson's farm is one of the best in the township, is well improved, and contains good buildings. Both are members of the Norwegian Lutheran church. In politics he is a Republican.
