LaVinnie (Connor) Von Brocklin

The spotlight for the month of August focuses on LaVinnie Von Brocklin who has resided at the Good Samaritan Center since November 27, 1973.

Born March 18, 1875, the daughter of Joe and Cinderella (Clark) Connor at Eden, Iowa in Fayette county, she is called "Granny" being the oldest resident at the Center. She is looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday.

She attended the Eden school and was married to Mathias Von Brocklin at Wadena. They became parents of four children.

Her hobby was raising and selling raspberries. She spent her entire life upon the farm. She participates in many activites at the Center and enjoys singing her own special Easter song to anyone who requests her to do so.
