Riggle Re-Union

Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Riggle and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Riggle and two small sons of New Philadelphia, Ohio, spent a few days the past week visiting at the homes of J. M., W. H. and C. J. Riggles.

Sunday the Riggles families from Murray, accompanied by the folks from New Philadelphia, drove to Des Moines, where they enjoyed a Sunday dinner and Riggle reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Riggle and daughter Lorene. Raymond, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Riggle, who is employed in Sioux City, was unable to be present.

The pleasant gathering was interrupted by a message from New Philadelphia stating that one of their aunts had passed away, so they departed at once for their homes n Ohio. J. E. and Earl Riggle are cousins of J. M. and W. H. Riggle of Murray who came from Ohio about 52 years ago.

Whitehead Re-Union

The seventh Whitehead reunion was held in the city park in Murray Sunday, August 29, with the attendance of 75 relatives and 19 visitors - the largest we've had. Every one enjoyed a bounteous picnic dinner served at noon. The ball games were played and from the merriment created, they must have been exciting.

A short business meeting was held at which the old officers were retained for another year. An enjoyable program was given, in which we discovered some new talent.

Whitehead and family, Henderson; Mr. and Mrs. John Whitehead, Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Alley and family and Mrs. Vernon Files, Glenwood; James and Clarence Rawlings, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence James and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Woods and family, Osceola; Mr. and Mrs. O.
