The post season honors keep rolling in for the members of the very successful Clear Lake and Ventura football teams.
The Des Moines Register and Iowa Sports Connection recently announced their All-State Teams. Five local players who were
honored earlier by the Iowa Newspaper Association on its All-State lists were recognized.
Clear Lake seniors Jarod SHOLLY and Sean McCHESNEY were repeat honorees on the Des Moines Register's All-State squads.
SHOLLY was a First Team Class 3A defensive selection, while McCHESNEY was a Second Team defensive pick.
Ventura Senior Cody KADOLPH and junior Tyler BETZ were named to the Register's Eight-Man All-State Team. BETZ earned First
Team honors as a defensive lineman, while KADOLPH was named to the Second Team as a defensive back.
SHOLLY and McCHESNEY were also named to the Class 3A All-State First Team by Iowa Sports Connection as defensive standouts.
On the eight-man list, Ventura's BETZ was joined by senior Josh HENELY on the First Team. BETZ was again recognized for
