NUPTIAL VOWS EXCHANGED

Miss Margaret HOGAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph HOGAN, 126 3rd N.E., and Marvin McKEE, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. McKEE, 133 1/2 N. Federal, and grandson of David GLIDNER, Rock Falls, were married in the Holy Family Church Saturday morning [December 26, 1951] at 9 o'clock, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. J. BREEN officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul MAGUIRE, the Rev. John REED and the Rev. Robert SULLIVAN.

Yellow, bronze and white mums decorated the sanctuary for the ceremony.

Virginia SKRAM and Shannon JOHNSON were organists and nuptial music was sung by the Holy Family Choir with Marlene BECKER as soloist. Her numbers were "Panis Angelicus" and "Remember Thou, O Virgin and Mother."

Miss Mary Rose HOGAN was her sister's maid of honor and Miss Marion WEAVER was bridesmaid. Thomas MARONEY was bestman and ushers were Charles HOGAN, Ray STEPHSON, Ray HOGAN, brother of the bride, and Paul GLIDNER, uncle of the bridegroom from G---(illegible).

The bride wore a white satin grown with a court train and a Elizabeth collar. Her veil was of French lace and she carried white mums and a white orchid.

The maid of honor had a floor-length gown of green taffeta with a tiered overskirt of bronze net and the bridesmaid had a yellow taffeta [gown] with an overskirt of bronze net. Both carried mums in autumn shades. The flowergirl's frock was of green taffeta with a bronze net overshirt and she had a basket of mums.

The bride's mother was dressed in purple crepe with black accessories and a corsage of yellow mums. The bridegroom's mother wore a blue suit with black accessories and a corsage of white mums.

A reception in the church parlors followed the ceremony. Miss Dorothy DUNN and Mrs. W. C. BOYLE poured and Patricia MANLEY and Mrs. Orval LOHMAN had charge of the punch bowl. Mrs. Boyd McCONNELL cut the wedding cake, assisted by Mrs. Ray HOGAN. Mrs. Everett DOUGHERTY acted as hostess.

Mrs. Robert BRIDE took care of the guest book and Miss Virginia RYMANN and Mrs. Rarlph SCHMIDT, the gifts.

The couple will be at home at the Colonial Funeral Home where the bridegroom is a partner. He is a graduate of Rock Falls High School and the College of Moruary Science at St. Louis, MO. The bride is a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Dougherty, and Iowa State Teachers College. She is a teacher at Lincoln School.
