After the building of the church building in the 1890's several new members joined the church.

A new parsonage was built in 1900 and the church building was improved in 1906. In 1914, the church was remodeled and a new addition was added to the west side which provided an extra room with folding doors. This increased the seating capacity. New pews were also added during this time.

In 1926, a basement was arranged under the church.

The parsonage east of the church was remodeled and modernized in 1930. The barn was removed and a double garage was build in 1936. This was to the rear of the parsonage.

The church's 50th anniversary was celebrated on November 26-28, 1937.

The church basement was enlarged and remodeled. An oil burning forced air heating system was installed in 1939. The interior of the church sanctuary was redecorated and new fluorescent lights were installed. The roof was re-shingled in 1941.

A new church organ was purchased with the memorial money from Mr. and Mrs. Albert HARTWIG.

The annual conference session was held in Meservey in 1941.

New front and rear entrances were added to the church and the kitchen was enlarged in 1948.

In 1946, the Evangelical Church joined with the United Brethren and became the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

A new parsonage and garage were built in 1953 and the old parsonage was sold. An amplifying system was installed in the church. Two new gas furnaces were installed for heating the church.

The church celebrated its 75th anniversary on November 9-11, 1962. It was a big event for the members of the church.

A large educational unit was built which included five classrooms and the pastor's study on the upper floor and a large fellowship hall and kitchen on the lower floor.

The church united with the Methodist Church and was called the United Methodist Church from 1961 to 1970.
