OLD OWEN GROVE CEMETERY
LOCATED ON SEC. 5, 0WEN TWP.
CERRO GORDO COUNTY.
At the back of this cemetery stands a large tall monument, only thing on it is the inscription- "In My Father's House are Many Mansions."

WILIAM: Julia Marie & Ida May, children of J. F. & R. I. Wiliam
AE. 4yr-2m-9d. & AE. 2yr-2m-1d. Both died Feb. 22, 1875
"In one grave we buried them, It was our loss but Heaven's gain"

WRIGHT: George, d- April 26, 1882. Aged 68 yrs. 8 mo.
Name gone, d- Feb. 3, 1874. Aged 47 yrs 5 da. The top of this slab marker was broken off and gone. From this lot looks
like a whole string of unmarked graves.

HEWITT: Cyrus, d- Jan. 21, 1883. Aged 85 yrs. "Sleep on dear father and take thy rest, God called thee home, when he thought best."

BOARD: Mary E., wife of Wm H, d-Dec. 6, 1888. Age 25yr 11mo & 6 da.

RENSHAW: Obert Leslie, son of J. S. & E. D.- b- June 14, 1876 -d-May 21, 1887.
South of this grave is a large Renshaw monument.

HARRIS: Harriet J. dau. of T & C. d-Oct. 17, 1878. Age 5 yr.

DUNCAN: Mary I, wife of Jacob R., b Aug. 8 1856 - d May 15, 1901.
Jabob R. d. May 4, 1882. Aged 33 yr.

JONES: Pierson, d Dec. 24, 1963. Age 38 yr.
Margaret d July 21, 1866. Age 49 yr.

DUNCAN: Sarah D. wife of Alexander d. Nov. 21, 1899. Age 89 yrs.

STEVENS: J. C., b. July 13, 1807 - d. June 24, 1902. A Stevens monument.
Eliza C. wife of J. C., b. April 12, 1812. d. May 5, 1867
North of these graves, no grave stones, with- U. S. Spanish American War Veteran. Cuba-Philippnes, Porto Rico & Cuba.

ALLEN: Warren N. b. Dec. 18, 1837. d. Aug. 17, 1891. "Ever Remembered."

WELLS: Mr. H. on Monday Feb. 5, 1900. He was one of the old settlers of Owen Twp. Having lived on the old homestead 25 yrs.
Buried in Owen Twp Cemetery.

HILL: Jesse b. Dec. 21, 1897 - d. Oct. 15 1903 Owen Grove, buried there.
Born at Licking Co. Ohio . Married Miss Sophia Barnum - 1849. She preceded him in death.
5 Children, 2 dead: Frank at home: Sime of Portland, James, Meservey.

MELLOY: Daniel. Born Scotland came to America when 12 yrs old, in 1866. Came to Owens Twp on R. R. Surviving, his wife and
4 children: Archie, Duncan, Alexander & 1 Dau. Mrs. Charles Elliott, all living here. He died at his residence in Owens Twp.
On Mon. Feb. 26, 1900, age 62yrs. Buried from Owens Grove Church by Rev. Roberts, in Owen Grove Cemetery.
